Depending on the test configuration and applicable standards (conductor-to-conductor or conductor-to-bundled and grounded conductors), insulation resistance measurement of wires or multi-core cables requires multiple connection setups. To reduce testing time and minimize connection errors, Sonel has developed an adapter that automatically switches between individual conductor pairs.
The AutoISO-1000C adapter is designed for insulation resistance testing of cables and multi-core conductors with a test voltage of up to 1000 V. Its use eliminates the risk of connection errors and significantly reduces the time required to perform measurements between conductor pairs. For example, when testing a 4-core cable, the operator performs a single connection to the installation, while the AutoISO-1000C automatically sequences through all six required conductor pair combinations.
