The all-weather WISER I combines the MS-711N and MS-712 spectroradiometers for the most accurate outdoor solar spectral data. The WISER I Spectroradiometer is a dual sensor system that combines the MS-711N for measuring the UV/visible/near infrared (UV/Vis/NIR) range, and the MS-712 for measuring the near infrared (NIR) range. Each sensor is temperature controlled and calibrated to National Institute of Standards and Technology traceable standards. The WISER I can be used in all weather conditions, with an operational temperature range of -10 to 50°C. It is often installed in fixed locations for meteorological, plant science, photovoltaic research, and material analysis applications; however, it can also be used as a travelling reference by powering both sensors separately and using software called 'Nami' for sensor management, data analysis, and visualisation.
